澳大利亚总理阿尔巴尼斯宣布，澳大利亚将于今年5月3日举行联邦议会选举。
阿尔巴尼斯星期五（3月28日）一早前往位于首都堪培拉的总督府面见澳总督莫斯廷。他在随后举行的新闻发布会上说，莫斯廷已接受他的提请，澳大利亚将于5月3日举行联邦议会选举，以组成澳第48届联邦议会。
新华社引述阿尔巴尼斯在回答记者提问时的话说，如果他领导的工党赢得此次选举，他将再次出任总理。
